Module Overview

Activity 1: Identify the stakes of an aseptic environment. Differentiate the contaminants and recognize their risks

• Microbiology basics, sources & vectors of contamination: concept of biocontamination, types of micro-organisms in the pharmaceutical industry & their potential risks; different sources of contamination
• Stakes of an aseptic environment: risks & consequences of product contamination; identification of the aim of a clean room and responsibilities of the staff in a clean room

Activity 2: ISO classes and grades. Basics of gowning

• Examples of equipment at Operation scale
• Air flows & Filter categories

Activity 3: identify controls before entrance in high grade area: Gowning and Hygiene steps

In this activity, the trainee practices what they learned in "Activity 2: ISO classes and grades. Basics of growing" and performs all the necessary steps (dressing and hygiene) to enter a B,A

• A final evaluation at the last module to assess what you have learnt in the curriculum (max. 3 attempts, 80% of correct answers required)

Required equipment

Recommended equipment for an optimal experience : PC computer, with the last version of web browsers Chrome/Firefox/Microsoft Edge, and an internet connection of 8 Mb/s or more. Regarding the virtual reality equipment, please refer to these instructions.
