Module 1: Introduction to the methodology of development for cell culture (USP) and purification (DSP) processes
Module 2: Case study applied to the development of an Upstream process (USP)
Module 3: Case study applied to the development of a Downstream Process (DSP)
Module 4: Introduction to Technology Transfer
Module 5: New technological trends in bioproduction
Module 6: Case study applied to bioprocess industrialization
Module 7: Case Study applied to bioproduction facility operation (Coming soon)
Module 8: Final Assessment

• Modules M1, M2 and M3 to be completed in that order.
• Modules M4 and M6 to be completed in that order.

Target audience

Employees integrating or working in R&D or bioproduction laboratories (senior technicians, engineers, researchers, managers) wishing to integrate the teams of Process Development and/or Technology Transfer.

Personnel initiated in biotechnology working in support functions (Quality Assurance, Analysis, Regulatory), Partners (suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, CMOs) operating in bioproduction and pharmaceutical industry or Public from the academic environment wishing to understand the industrial environment and development issues, the technology transfer and biomedecine production.

1 level for all Activities

Prerequisites

Basic scientific and technical knowledge in biology and/or biotechnology or professional experience of approximately 1 year in R&D or pharmaceutical production.

Learning mode

Blended Mode (remote for all modules except module 6 Activity 1 in VR)

Evaluation procedures

• 1 Evaluation at the end of each module to be able to access the next module (no limit of attempts, 80% of correct answers required)
• 1 Evaluation at the last Module to validate the Curriculum (3 attempts, 80% of correct answers required) Trainees enrolled on the whole Curriculum will also have the possibility to receive anchoring quiz between modules to help them in the memorization of their new competencies.

Required equipment

Recommended equipment for an optimal experience: PC computer, with the last version of web browsers Chrome/Firefox/Microsoft Edge, and an internet connection of 8 Mb/s or more. Regarding the virtual reality equipment, please refer to these instructions.

Face to face training
